About Us

Focus on Recovery Uganda (FORE) is a nonprofit organization committed to addressing the growing mental health and addiction challenges in Uganda. Established in 2015 by individuals with lived experience, FORE was built on a passion for healing and a belief that recovery is possible for everyone. Through a three-fold approach—Prevention, Intervention, and Recovery (PIR)—we deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that transforms lives and strengthens communities

We provide a wide range of services, including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, telehealth support, and school and community outreach programs. Our dedicated team of professionals—therapists, counselors, medical staff, and recovery coaches—work hand-in-hand with individuals and families to promote lasting recovery and mental well-being. At FORE, we envision a society where every person has access to quality mental health support and the opportunity to live a full, healthy life.
